Mid-Atlantic Builders, an award-winning luxury homebuilder with over 46 years of success, is seeking a detail-oriented and talented Residential CAD Drafter & BIM Modeler to join our team. In this role, you’ll create precise technical drawings, 2D documentation, and 3D Building Information Models (BIM) for both custom and production residential projects. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in industry-standard CAD and BIM software, have a strong understanding of residential building codes and construction practices, and thrive in a collaborative design and documentation environment.

Create and maintain accurate 2D architectural drawings and 3D BIM models for residential projects using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software.
Prepare construction documents, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details according to project specifications and building codes.
Coordinate and collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
Update models and drawings based on design changes, redlines, or field markups.
Maintain drawing and model standards in compliance with company templates and industry best practices.
Assist in the development of BIM families and content as needed.
Ensure that documentation adheres to zoning, code, and permitting requirements.
Participate in quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness

2+ years of experience in residential drafting and BIM modeling.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or other software a plus).
Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building codes (IRC), and permitting processes.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Experience with custom residential home design or multi-family residential developments.
Knowledge of local jurisdictional requirements and permit documentation processes.
Experience with Blackpoint (SapphireBuild) or Higharc software (preferred but not required).
