    Residential Interior Design Consultant

    Bring your design expertise to a builder that refuses to be ordinary.

    We’re seeking a creative, detail-driven Residential Interior Design Consultant to elevate the homebuying experience and help our clients create homes that feel personal, intentional, and distinctly different. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where your ability to guide, inspire, and execute will directly shape the look and feel of our communities.

    What You’ll Do
    Lead one-on-one design appointments, helping homebuyers personalize final finishes, and fixtures
    Deliver a polished, engaging in-person experience in model homes and design spaces
    Advise on trends, materials, color palettes, and cohesive design vision
    Maintain precise selection documentation that coordinates seamlessly for purchasing and construction teams
    Ensure all selections, timelines, and agreements are accurate, approved, and executed on schedule
    Collaborate with leadership on design standards, product updates, and overall design direction
    Contribute to ongoing innovation through competitive market research and trend analysis
    Maintain and evolve a curated design vision (including buyer-facing materials and presentation tools)
    Participate in spec home selections, and community design consistency
    Conduct bi-annual competitive market research and present insights on trends, pricing, and product innovation
    Ensure all promotions, selections, and changes align with company standards and approval processes

    Work Schedule & Expectations
    Primarily onsite, working from a model home five days per week (10 AM – 5 PM)
    Available to work three weekends per month and support Grand Openings and key events
    Design appointments are conducted in person to deliver a high-touch experience
    Local travel between communities required

    What You Bring
    3+ years of experience in new home interior design, builder selections, or similar
    A strong eye for detail and a passion for design that stands out - not blends in
    Exceptional organization, communication, and client-facing skills
    Ability to balance creativity with structure, timelines, and operational accuracy
    Experience with design tools and builder systems is a plus

    Model Home Host

    Mid-Atlantic Builders, an award-winning luxury homebuilder with 47 years of success, is looking for two part-time Model Home Hosts to join our team one for our Bowie location and one for our Poolesville location. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of customer-facing experience.

    If you’re organized, people-oriented, and enjoy creating a welcoming first impression, we’d love to hear from you. These positions are part-time, scheduled for two weekdays per week, with occasional weekends and additional hours as needed.

    What You’ll Do
    Greet and engage prospective buyers in the model home.
    Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for every visitor.
    Support on-site Sales Representatives with day-to-day operations.
    Assist with follow-ups, customer communication, and lead capture.
    Help maintain the presentation of the model home and surrounding sales materials.
    Ensure accurate listing details on MLS, websites, and print materials.

    What You’ll Bring
    1–2 years of experience in sales, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing role.
    Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    A positive attitude and team-first mentality.
    Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
    Interest in real estate or new home construction.

    Schedule
    Part-time (approximately 15 hours/week)
    Two weekdays per week.
    Occasional weekends.
    Opportunity for additional hours as needed.
