PGA U.S. Open Visits Beechtree

Earlier this week there were some very special visitors to Lake Presidential Golf Club at Beechtree.  The local qualifying rounds for the U.S. Open golf championship were held at the golf course on Tuesday.  Seeing the professional golfers play before they actually make it to the tournament is a great benefit of living in a community that boasts an award-winning golf course!

Why Buy New

We have said that it is a better decision to buy new as opposed to buying an existing home.   With a new home you get the peace of mind of knowing that you are not inheriting somebody else’s mess and problems.  You know the history of the house because it has always been YOURS. Ashleigh at Woodmore Estates is Sold Out!

Our beautiful Somerset inventory home has officially been sold!  This past weekend the Regional Sales Center found the perfect family for the final home in Ashleigh at Woodmore Estates!  This is a bittersweet moment since we have enjoyed building in this subdivision since 2004!  We are happy that we provided families with the opportunity to individualize each and every home, but we will miss the community.

We still have four other beautiful communities where you can design and build the home of your dreams!  But hurry and visit us! When buying a new home, things can get a bit overwhelming.  From choosing your homesite to picking the specific structural options that will go into your chosen floorplan, you are presented with hundreds of different choices.  At Mid-Atlantic Builders we try to help make these selections easier for you by providing the assistance of our personal design consultant, Vanessa Pereira.  Vanessa manages our Design Studio where she will guide you through the steps of choosing the finishes for your home.  The finishes are all the little details that make your home unique, from flooring, to door handles, faucets, light fixtures, and appliances.

From her extensive research and knowledge of interior design, Vanessa will help you make decisions to fit your unique style and complement the flow of your home.  She will also explain the difference between products such as hardwood, ceramic tile, and granite.  Our Design Studio occupies an entire floor of our Regional Sales Center in our Tara model at Woodmore North, where you are able to actually see and touch the various options and, with Vanessa’s assistance, make a more educated decision for what you would like in your home.

Live in a Healthy Home

We design our homes with innovative floor plans and the peak of energy efficiency.  Yet did you know that we also design our homes with your health in mind?  Every single home we build includes our Healthy Home Package and is EPA Indoor airPlus certified.  This is in addition to the Energy Star rating that comes with all of our homes.

Our Healthy Homes help to protect you and your loved ones from molds, gasses, pollution, and allergens that can infiltrate an improperly designed home.  We fully seal the first two floors with BASF Spray Foam Insulation that keeps out any unwanted pests and pollution.  More importantly, it also blocks drafts ensuring that your home maintains its temperature in the most efficient way possible.  Our custom designed HVAC systems with programmable thermostats also help keep a consistent temperature in your home, going a long way towards lowering your utility bills.

We want the air you breathe in your home to be fresh and guarantee this by installing a whole house ventilation fan with an Aprilaire 5 inch thick air filter.  This ensures the constant intake and circulation of fresh air in all of our homes.  In addition, we also install a dedicated garage ventilation fan that removes harmful toxins emitted from your car.  We also have carbon monoxide detectors in all sleeping areas so you can rest soundly knowing that everyone is  breathing the cleanest air possible.

John Lavery New Homes Sales Director

John Lavery has spent the last 26 years turning people's dreams of owning their own home into realities. After earning his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 1984, he began his career in the home building industry with Ryan Homes as a Construction Supervisor. Mr. Lavery soon moved to Customer Service Manager and then Sales Representative. In 1992 Mr. Lavery briefly moved to Winchester Homes as a Sales Manager before joining Mid Atlantic Builders in 1993. From these experiences, Mr. Lavery learned the art of listening to a homeowner's vision and goals, transforming them into a home personalized to their lifestyle and financial needs.

At Mid-Atlantic Builders, Mr. Lavery has been instrumental in establishing the company's customer centric focus and enthusiasm toward building quality homes custom tailored to the homebuyer's desires. Mr. Lavery now serves the company, and its customers, as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Lavery has been recognized countless times for his commitment to customer service. In 1999 Mr. Lavery was awarded MAME's Sales and Marketing Director of the Year and was a contributing factor to Mid-Atlantic Builders being named Builder Magazine's 2006 "America's Best Builder". Mr. Lavery sits on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Care Foundation of the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association.
