Roger Lebbin founded Mid-Atlantic Builders in 1979 for the purpose of developing residential, commercial and industrial properties. He has been responsible for creating and developing a variety of real estate projects, from design to final construction. Mr. Lebbin has extensive experience in all phases of land acquisition, land development, and home construction. Mr. Lebbin also has expertise in all financial matters related to Mid-Atlantic. He has closed numerous complex acquisition, development and construction loans and renewals with local banks, and has consulted with major institutions in the metropolitan Washington area on problem loans, market analysis and feasibility reports in the residential market.
Some highlights of the work completed by Mid-Atlantic over the years include Silverbrook in Prince George's County, which won the "Best Single Family Community" award in 1989 from the Prince George's County Department of Economic Development and Westview, Mid-Atlantic's upscale single family development in Bowie, which won the Monument Award for Best Community in 1994. Other successful projects include Rosewood Manor and Rosewood Estates in Gaithersburg, Deer Park, Stonecrest North, and Fairland Estates all located in the Route 29 corridor of Montgomery County. The Land Department also won Monument Awards in the Best Community category for Lakeview and Woodmore North, its signature community known for its 150 foot long, 20 foot tall curvilinear stone waterfall that moves 8,000 gallons per minute, with over 200 one acre lots featuring million dollar estates. Other successful projects include Woodmore South in Mitchellville and Kingsview Village and The Vistas in Germantown. The firm’s newest venture, The Villages of Savannah, is a 566 unit single family multi-builder luxury community themed after the Georgian colony founded in 1733, located in Brandywine. Builder magazine, in conjunction with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) recently named Mid-Atlantic Builders as one of three national recipients of “2006 America’s Best Builders”, a milestone in any career.
Mr. Lebbin is a very active member of the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association, which he served for more than a decade in a variety of functions from committee member to Board of Directors member, Chairman of the Finance Committee, a Vice President for Prince George’s County and finally as its President in 2001. Mr. Lebbin has also served the Association’s charitable arm, Home Builder’s Care Foundation, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity from association members. Over the years, Mr. Lebbin has served in a variety of capacities on other Boards, both religious and charitable, chairing committees and lending his time and efforts to many worthy community endeavors.
